The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department will open registration on Dec. 5 for its affordable Winter Break Camp, offered Dec. 22, 2025, through Jan. 2, 2026.
Please note: no camp will be held Dec. 25, Dec. 26, or Jan. 1.
Designed for children kindergarten through fifth grade, the seven-day camp is just $20.
This full-day program features a variety of fun and enriching activities, including physical play, games, quiet reading time, lunch, a field trip, creative and recreational projects, guest speakers, and age-appropriate learning opportunities.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Children are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle and a pillow and blanket for rest time.
Camp will run 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday at two locations:
• Jornada Elementary School, 3400 Elks Drive
• East Mesa Recreation Center, 5589 Porter Drive
Registration will remain open until all spots are filled.
Families may register online at LasCruces.gov/Play or in person during regular business hours at any of the following locations:
• Parks & Recreation Administrative Office, 1501 E. Hadley Ave. 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday–Thursday; 8 a.m.–4 p.m. Friday
• Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Ave. 9 a.m.–8 p.m. Monday–Friday; 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Saturday
• Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center, 1401 E. Hadley Ave. 7:30 a.m.–7 p.m. Monday–Friday; 8 a.m.–6:30 p.m. Saturday
• Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 W. Bell Ave. 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday–Friday
